The Stugu is in use this month by a local reindeer owner. The herd has been back in the hills around Skomovik lake during the winter and it is now time to collect the animals and transport them back to their summer grazing. They use the helicopter to herd the reindeer, or caribou as the Americans say.
When going out on the fjord, whether with nets or poles, you never know what you might get. One day it could be tons of cod and the next day nothing. If you are lucky you get halibut. And if you are very lucky you get a “breiflabb”, a wide-mouthed angler type fish.
After a few weeks delay the inside of the house is now ready!
